On the afternoon of June 28 , President Xi Jinping held talks at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing with Peruvian President Peru Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra, who is on a state visit to China. Following the talks, the two heads of state jointly witnessed the signing of the Joint Action Plan of the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Peru (2024-2029), and multiple bilateral cooperation documents regarding economic and trade relations, digital economy, scientific and technological innovation, inspection and quarantine, and news media, among others.
Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the establishment of the Chinese-Peruvian Entrepreneurs Committee between CCPIT and the Peruvian Association of Exporters (ADEX), Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL), Peruvian Foreign Trade Society (Comex Peru), the Peruvian–Chinese Chamber of Commerce (CAPECHI) and Peruvian National Society of Industries (SNI) with Julio Pérez Alván, president of the Peruvian Association of Exporters(ADEX) and the representative of the Peruvian business associations. The committee is committed to creating more trade and investment opportunities for enterprises of the two countries. It will play an active role in facilitating the exchanges of economic and trade information between the two business communities, and organizing mutual visits of business delegations. It will also deepen our cooperation in trade, agriculture, investment and financing, infrastructure, digital economy, clean energy, among others. Participation in the events such as the Second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) and the China-Latin America Entrepreneurs Summit is encouraged.
