CCPIT Vice Chairman Chen Jian'an Attends Events Related to 8th China-Eurasia Expo

On June 26, the 8th China-Eurasia Expo was held in Urumqi, Xinjiang. Chen Jian'an, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended the opening ceremony of the Expo and the opening ceremony for the pavilion of the country of honor. On the same day, the 2024 Silk Road Industrial and Commercial Development Symposium was held as an important economic and trade event during the expo. Chen Jian'an attended and addressed the symposium. Chen Jian'an pointed out that amid the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the forum has afforded a practical platform for the business communities across the world to better jointly build the Belt and Road. The CCPIT attaches great importance to strengthening cooperation with the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and is willing to work with the People's Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China to promote further opening-up of Xinjiang.

The expo, themed “New Opportunities of Silk Road, New Vitality for Eurasian Cooperation”, was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of People’s Republic of China, Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, the CCPIT, and the People's Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China, covering an exhibition area of 140,000 square meters.
